Description

Just a side-project i made mainly out of boredom for the wiggiworld contest (linked it in my last journal entry). I dont think i'll win anything, and i didn't really expect anything to start with. I dont mind though, cause they're running the contest for good cause =]

It's probably too eduational to be much fun, and a tad too cute for comfort, but i promise it's a one-off. I'm not going soft on you, next game will involve dark themes and ridiculous quantities of blood, i promise XD

Just for anyone who might be interested though...

Details:

- Randomly generated mathematical problems on each level. They will always be similar, but with different numbers (so people cant just learn the answers)

- Realistic collision reactions. The normal to the cave wall is approximated, velocity in that plane is reversed (factoring in a coefficient of restitution), velocity in the plane perpendicular to the normal is isolated but i think i might not have bothered with friction, i dont remember. Sometimes you might get caught on the wall if you slide around it, but that's just because the normal is not perfectly accurate, so sometimes an almost parallel collision might result in the game trying to propel you straight into the wall again. I could have fixed it, but sliding is hardly crucial to the game... I also could have improved the actual collision detection very easily, but i decided that i quite liked it being very lenient as a single point, so i didn't bother.

- Original music made by a friend of mine (James). You can see some of his other stuff here: [link]

- Pretty efficient & moderately versatile particle system... that i didn't really bother using much.
